How does youserbase work?
The web site has three different columns: The catalogue, the consultant and the community. Although we hope that this already explains quite a lot, we like to explain you certain functionalities in this chapter.
Why is there advertising on youserbase?
Well, easy: The youserbase team spends all of his energy, knowledge and expertise in running a reliable system, permanently improving it. This costs money, and as none of us is a bored millionaire, we have to make our money somehow. At the same time we can assure you that this has no negative influence on the data quality. It is rather the opposite: It allows us to keep up a good performance and to make the content completely free. And for the most important: It is the yousers that create the content.
Why all the languages?
People are most familiar with their own languages. As globalized technology does almost the same where ever it is sold, we can easily translate the content into the languages of the reader. This way everybody can work together sharing their knowledge, without being forced to use English. And for second: We love languages, as you can see from our latin data sheet.
How does all this work?
youserbase allows everybody to share their knowledge about technology. When it comes to the data sheets, we use a so called „strict Wiki“. This means that you can only edit certain parts of the data sheets, but this keeps the data comparable to another. Yes, you are limited, but it helps a lot.
How do I add information to a data sheet?
Any registered youser can edit any data sheet, make modifications, setup a new data sheet for missing devices or upload pictures. just log in and use the little edit-button on the upper right corner of an every data sheet.
Why is my right answer not shown immediately?
Your answer is currently being checked by the content administration. Once you have reached a higher level, your answers will be published immediately.
Why does youserbase check the answers before publishing?
We wish to keep a high level of acccuracy in our data base. That is why we have installed a youser ranking to control the edits of new or random yousers, because this keeps us from visible manipulation.Of course every right answer is as valuable as any other.
